Description

NGC 247 (The Claw Galaxy-The Needle's Eye galaxy) is an dwarf spiral galaxy about 70,000 light-years across and part of the Sculptor Group of Galaxies and about 11.1 Million Light Years  away in the constellation Cetus. Burbidge's Chain galaxies appears top right and are about 300 million light-years distant and range from 14.4 to 17th magnitude.

The weather has been miserable lately. After seeing not a star in over a month, finally last night came good with some great seeing so I resumed work on this lovely field.

Interestingly, I compared Drizzle results with the new Normalised Scale Gradient tool in Pixinsight. Not a contest. Drizzle wins hands down but takes a LOT longer to process.

Hopefully NSG will get Drizzle support in the future as that would be really something.
